Izmir Marble Exhibition
Due to the Corona Virus epidemic that started in China and affected many countries, the delay of the Izmir Marble Fair came to the agenda and the fair It was decided to postpone.
One of the most important natural stone and processing events worldwide takes place in the Fuar İzmir exhibition center in Izmir. In a country with a high percentage of marble resources and correspondingly large biodiversity, MARBLE brings together thousands of trade visitors such as building contractors, architects, project managers, wholesalers, consultants and other service providers in the industry under one roof. The exhibitors show the natural stones in all shapes and facets, u. a. as blocks, slabs and tiles, present different processing techniques and machines and additionally underline the importance of marble and natural stones for the local economy. The exhibition center is only 8 km away from Adnan Menderes Airport. The favorable location in the immediate vicinity of the motorways enables a comfortable and stress-free journey. The exhibition center is also easily accessible by public transport. As part of the hosted buyer program, free accommodation and transfers between the airport, hotel and exhibition center are granted.
In total, the organizers welcomed around 1200 exhibitors and 68.000 visitors to the 4 days of the fair, from March 28 to March 31, 2018, at the MARBLE fair in Izmir.
Natural Stone Institute United States
The Natural Stone Institute (NSI) will be a very special guest again. The US association with more than 2000 members from 55 countries sends a team of 40 experts to the fair. They should help to expand the natural stone trade between Turkey and the USA.
One aspect of the qualification of Turkish company employees will be the ASTM standards. “If Turkey can use these rules to improve its quality and production efficiency, it will make an important investment in the future: companies will consume less raw materials and energy, and the country will become the largest supplier to the western world, “says a press release from the trade fair.
